His band defined the Mersey Beat and he remains one of our greatest 60s icons – and now the Grand Pavilion offers a chance to get up close and personal with the legendary Gerry Marsden on Friday 27 May.
Gerry and The Pacemakers are famed for iconic hits including How Do You Do It, I Like It, Ferry Cross the Mersey and You’ll Never Walk Alone.
The group rivalled the Beatles early in their career, and were the first act to reach number one in the UK singles chart with their first three single releases - a record not equalled for another 20 years.
Now Gerry himself is in Porthcawl to talk about his early beginnings in Liverpool, those heady days of the 60s and up to the present.
It’s also a chance to hear all Gerry’s greatest hits combined with stories, jokes and anecdotes from his years at the top. This mix of fun, music and nostalgia is not to be missed!
Gerry Cross The Mersey – and evening with Gerry and the Pacemakers starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £16 – £18 or £15 – £17 for concessions and are available from the Grand Pavilion Box office on 01656 815995, or you can book online at www.grandpavilion.co.uk
